TOM EURE, JR
If
we're pointing fingers, Americana may be a fair musical
label to stick on singer/songwriter Tom Eure, Jr. Tom got
his start in the music business in 1991, while living in the
mountains of NC. During his time there,
Tom played solo folk shows, hosted open mics, fronted
bands ranging from psychedelic to pop rock, and played
bluegrass and old tyme music with friends on his off days.
Today Eure's melting pot of influences offers up a sound
that's mature, rootsy and honest. His is the sound of a true
artist coming of age.
Tom's first solo CD,
Feel the Fire was embraced by fans and critics alike.
Now with Tom’s new release Breathe In, Breathe Out he offers
up an album that demands to be noticed. He performs
constantly, playing over 150 shows a year. Tom has performed
at top venues like The Blue Bird Cafe in Nashville, CBGB's
Gallery in New York City, festivals throughout the South,
and has even opened for a few of his musical heroes
including Warren Zevon and Chris Smither. Audiences can tell
Tom is at his best when performing. He is truly at home on
the stage -- his humble, comic demeanor has earned him a
devoted following.
Although Tom Eure, Jr.'s
music doesn't necessarily fit into a clearly defined
category, that's a good thing, because neither do people.
